  1. February 21

I will never forget the summer we took Henry Blackaby’s course, Experiencing God, at Glorieta,NM. It had not been published yet so we had the curriculum in binders! The study was life changing for us, and we taught it at 2-3 churches over the years where my husband was Assoc pastor. At one time, I was leading a group on Sun morning, Sun night and Wed night. What I wanted to tell you is something that happened during the study that summer at Glorieta. One afternoon, he was telling us about all the churches they had started while he was at the church in (Saskatoon?). 30+ churches? Anyway, he stopped suddenly and said, “I’m sorry, but the Holy Spirit is telling me that I’m being prideful.” He had a short quiet reflection, and then prayed, asking the Lord’s forgiveness and guidance. I will never forget this humble servant of God!
